IFRS 16 Disclosure Checklist
Category
IFRS 16
The IFRS 16 disclosure checklist covers all required disclosures under IFRS 16.51-60 for lessees, including depreciation charges, interest expense, short-term and low-value lease expenses, variable lease payments, maturity analysis, and qualitative information about leasing activities and risk exposure.
Why it matters
IFRS 16 disclosures differ materially from ASC 842 disclosures. IFRS 16 requires separate disclosure of depreciation and interest (reflecting the finance lease model for all leases), while ASC 842 shows a single operating lease cost for operating leases. IFRS 16 also requires disclosure of expenses for short-term and low-value lease exemptions, additions to ROU assets, and total cash outflows for leases. Multinational organizations reporting under both standards need separate disclosure packages.
How Arvexi handles this
Arvexi generates IFRS 16-compliant disclosures separately from ASC 842 disclosures. The platform produces depreciation charges, interest expense, exemption expenses, maturity analysis, and ROU asset additions, all formatted to IFRS 16 requirements. Organizations reporting under both standards get parallel disclosure packages from a single lease data set.
